San Jacobos de pout recipe


  • - For 4 people:
  • 8 pout steaks
  • 4 sheets of cheese
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • extra virgin oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • - For tomato sauce:
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • extra virgin oil
  • Salt
  • sugar

Preparation of the recipe of San Jacobos de faneca:

For the tomato sauce, chop the onion, pepper and garlic cloves. Put them to poach in a casserole with a little oil.

When golden brown, chop the tomatoes and incorporate them. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar and cook for 25-30 minutes over low heat. Pass the sauce through the puree.

Clean the fish, take out the fillets and sprinkle them. Spread 4 pout fillets, fill them with cheese and cover them with the other 4 pout fillets. Wrap them with cooked ham.

Spread a baking dish with a little oil, place the San Jacobos on top and water them with a little oil. Enter them in the oven at 220º C for 8 minutes

Serve the fish and accompany it with the tomato sauce.
